Solar Array and Environment Details
If you are making a single column mount (or either 3 or 4 modules total), see our complete Ground Mount First Column Kits (for a column of either 3 or 4 PV modules) instead of using this configurator. The kits come with all the parts you need except pipe and concrete, as well as installation instructions to determine your pipe lengths and foundation details.
Array Configuration
Choose whether you want columns of 3 or 4 modules and weather or not you want to use cross bracing. The Pier Diameter options will show the estimated cost per pier based on the local materials costs you provided.

Click on the diagram representing your choice of either 3 or 4-module columns. If the total number of modules in your array is evenly divisible by either 3 or 4 it is usually most economical and esthetically pleasing to choose that number per column. Keep in mind that an array with 4 modules per column will be very tall and that choosing 3 modules per column with make the total array length longer.
When you click on one of the Columns diagrams, it will be highlighted.
If Cross Bracing is an option, there will be two columns below the array diagrams. One labeled WITH BRACING, and one labeled WITHOUT BRACING. Bracing is only an option if the ground has no slope. If you entered any ground slope (and only a south slope is allowed), bracing is not an option. When the WITH BRACING option is chosen, vertical pier spacing can be greater, which usually means fewer piers are required, reducing excavation and concrete work. Pipe quantity is about the same either way because of the pipe needed for cross bracing. When you click on one of the bracing options, it will be highlighted.

Build this array with Ground Mount Kits
Pre-built Kits are usually the best choice for a single installation because you will not be buying any extra parts.
OR
Build this array through bulk parts ordering
Ordering in bulk is most useful for installers who stock parts and build multiple ground mounts.
